Blue boots with approximately 2" / 5cm heel. The boots are made of cow's leather. They have almond toe, designer embossed logo at side, designer label at back and simply pull on.

If you are a boots lady then you will love these blue boots by Shabbies Amsterdam. To find good quality boots in most high street shops isn't easy. A lot of women are searching for a design that they could wear year after year. Fred de la Bretoniere's Shabbies Amsterdam designs have a huge reputation for quality.

These blue boots have a two-inch heel, which makes them perfect for daywear. It's a perfect extra height to flatter. Both the sole and the heel are incredibly solid and well made; neither will succumb to the usual wear and tear caused by running around all day.

The finest quality cow leather was used in making these blue boots. Shabbies Amsterdam uses specially selected hides tanned with vegetable extract. The unique thing about the leathers is that and minor faults will not be covered in a final finish and therefore will remain visible in the finished products. This makes each pair of boots completely different, and totally individual. It adds character to the leather and renders these blue boots out of the ordinary.

The boots have a classic almond shaped toe and the look of a riding boot, a favourite design of Shabbies Amsterdam. While the simplicity of the shape allows the boot to be worn with almost any casual outfit, the striking colour makes them interesting. The blue boots are also functional; they are warm and easily pull on without any ties or zips, which is useful during a rushed morning.

The Shabbies Amsterdam logo is on the outer side of these blue boots. It is simply incised into the leather. ‘Shabbies' is written on the back of the heel and again is incised, and therefore retains the blue colour of the rest of the boot.

Women of any age could wear these boots and look chic and pulled together. The classic design allows for them to look good on a seventeen year old or a seventy year old. Their versatility and quality makes them an investment piece, and their comfort will make them a favourite.

In terms of these Shabbies Amsterdam blue boots fitting in this Spring/Summer, there are a lot of options. The knee length skirts with flamenco style flounces seen at Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton would create a striking look when paired with the boots, making a cowgirl style look but minus the kitsch and with a modern feel. The boots would also look amazing worn with a pair of trousers in any shape as long as the hem was tucked into the top of the boot. For those willing to show some leg the boots will look great with shorts, minis, tights or skinny jeans as they are a bit loose at the top, and therefore make your legs appear slimmer. A punky leather jacket as seen at both Balmain and Balenciaga this season will create a striking look when paired with the boots, and the dusky blue shade will soften the look, making it easier to pull off.

All in all there is nothing negative to say about the boots, they are classic, elegant, comfortable, warm, and wearable.

Shabbies Amsterdam is a line of footwear designed by the Dutchman Fred de la Bretoniere, who has been designing since 1971 . He began by making made-to-measure footwear in the best quality leathers and he retains this craftsman like mentality when designing every last shoe or boot for Shabbies Amsterdam.

In 1976 Fred de la Bretoniere received the award for best shoe and bag designer in the Netherlands, one of his first major accolades in the business. Since then his reputation for quality of both design and materials has spread far beyond his homeland. Shabbies Amsterdam is now a well-respected international company with over 120 employees.

One of the most characteristic features of Shabbies Amsterdam’s shoes and boots is the use of slightly ‘unfinished’ looking leather. During the early years of Fred de le Bretoniere’s design career he visited as many leather tanneries as possible in order to better understand one of the basic processes needed to create his product. In one case, while watching the finishing stages of the leather tanning, de la Bretoniere said “Stop! Or you’ll make it too perfect!” He wanted the leather to appear natural, and full of character. This is why his products are tanned using vegetable extracts, so like the material on a pair of jeans, it will change and develop with wear.

Another distinctive feature of some of de la Bretoniere’s designs for Shabbies Amsterdam is a delicately frayed accent on the shaft of the boot. This is one example of the small but unique detail that goes into the otherwise simplistic designs for the brand. While the pieces may be understated there is always some element of surprise in the detail of de la Bretoniere’s boots and shoes.

Shabbies Amsterdam is a well known and respected label amongst fashion forward people with individual style.
